Waarom AR:
De combinatie van verschillende sporten/disciplines, het samenwerken met een team(genoot), het avontuur, je grenzen verleggen, zelf onderhoudend zijn en op zoek gaan naar de fysieke grenzen van jezelf en het team, om het maximale te bereiken. Dat maakt voor mij Adventure racen een hele mooie sport en vooral ook mijn sport!
Daarnaast zijn de omgevingen waarin je terecht komt, de natuur, veelal fantastisch en is het soms ook gewoon echt genieten en een voorrecht om op bepaalde plekken te mogen komen.

Quitting at the Ducth Extreme 2002 and quitting at Auenland 2013. Losing the Dutch Championship 2013 with 18 seconds, due to waiting time, after racing for more than 32 hours and crossing the finish line in first place.

The combination of different sport disciplines, working together with your team, the adventure, crossing limits, being self-supporting and the searching for physical limits to reach your maximum potential. That is what makes Adventure Racing a great sport and especially my sport! In addition are the places and the nature we visit great and often a big pleasure and a privilege to be able to visit these areas.
