Wat is Dutch Adventure?
Dutch Adventure is een Nederlands adventure race team. Het team is eind 2013 opgericht met als doel een vast Nederlands team te creëren wat zich kan richten op de internationale adventure race wedstrijden.
Het team van Dutch Adventure bestaat uit de volgende leden: Wouter-Dirk “Wodi” Huitzing, Ward Luitjes, Henk Tigelaar, Jeroen Vermeulen, Patrick de Bruycker, Wout van Hoof, Inga Lehmann en Renate de Wilde.
Samen heeft het team vele jaren ervaring met adventure racen en over de jaren hebben de teamleden dan al ook overal over de wereld geracet; Nederland, België, Duitsland, Frankrijk, Zwitserland, Spanje, Polen, Tsjechië, Denemarken, Ierland, Turkije, Costa Rica en China.
Sinds de oprichting heeft Dutch Adventure al meteen goede resultaten weten te behalen op nationale en internationale wedstrijden. Waaronder een 1e en 2e plaats op het NK adventure racen in 2014. Verder een 5e plaats tijdens the Beast of Ballyhoura in Ierland en een 6e plaats tijdens de Czech AR in Tsjechië. Op basis van deze resultaten heeft Dutch Adventure beslag weten te leggen op de 8ste plaats in het totaal klassement van de AR Euroseries 2014.
Dutch Adventure heeft als doelstelling: Dutch Adventure streeft naar een top 5 op het EK van 2017 waarin plezier de basis is en iedereen committent heeft naar het team tijdens en buiten de races.
What is Dutch Adventure?
Dutch Adventure is an adventure race team from the Netherlands. The team was founded at the end of 2013, with the goal to create a national race team which could focus on international adventure races.
The Dutch Adventure team consists of the following members: Wouter-Dirk “Wodi” Huitzing, Ward Luitjes, Henk Tigelaar, Jeroen Vermeulen Patrick de Bruycker, Wout van Hoof, Inga Lehmann and Renate de Wilde.
Together the team has a huge experience with adventure racing and team members have been racing all over the world; the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ireland, Turkey, Costa Rica and China.
Since the founding of Dutch Adventure in 2013 the team has had good results on both national and international races. In 2014 the team took both the 1st and 2nd place at the Dutch national championships. In addition the team placed 5th at the Beast of Ballyhoura in Ireland and 6th at the Czech AR in Czech Republic. Due to these results Dutch Adventure finished 8th at the 2014 AR Euroseries overall ranking.
Dutch Adventure has as goal: to finish the 2017 European Championship AR within the best 5 teams. This goal is to be reached while being a real team where commitment towards the team is expected from each member while never sacrificing fun and friendship.
